I wrote here about being in san bernardino in the winter for riding. little change of plans and ill actually be in south pasadena. noticed its a reasonable distance from ACH and GMR, as well as santa monica mtns i believe to the west.

can anyone shoot me in the right direction for some decent rides, or resources?

For a quick good climb, ride east somehow and get to Santa Anita Ave. Make a left and climb to chamtry flats. It is a good daily training climb.

Look up the montrose loop for the weekend.

depends, might only do ~2hour/~40miles but do 20-40min of intervals, if there was a shorter loop with a long climb that would be awesome.

my longer rides might be around 3-4h and 50-85miles here in vermont.

im sure il throw in a good 100+ miler if theres some loop/place/mtn i need to ride while out there.

Cross-posting in case anyone missed the original thread. If you aren't up for spandex rides you could just meet us for lunch (Swarm! site has hyperlinks to all the spots). Of course I don't know exactly what time we'll be there, but get at me and we can figure out a way to figure that out.

For a short loop you could always ride the rose bowl, you can throw in a hill on the loop, it is a short climb but decent for short intervals.. The RB loop is just over 3 miles.. I use to ride there at night to avoid all the walkers and joggers..

Alicestrong -- how often does SWARM organize stuff like that. Seems like a cool couple of days -- wish I was in town for it and could join.
