Hellow Gals,
Can anyone suggest where I should being my research for a mountain bike that is a good fit for women in the $800-1200 price range. My road bike is a Burley Sahalie and I LOVE it.
Thanks in advance.

I love my Cannondale Jekyll 400 Feminine (obviously, a WSD design) but it just goes on bad, bumpy road rides at the moment. That being said, I can go for about 30 miles on it with absolutely no discomfort!

Thanks for replying. I decided to go a bit cheaper ($500) in a effort to learn more about my riding preferences and such before I go in for the $1000 thing....I'm addicted to cycling (road and mountain) and have to stop and think before I drop that kind of cash. I went with the Specialized Women's Rockhopper and I'm LOVING it. I need a new saddle, however, the one that came with it is *painful* after about an hour or so....any suggestions?
Thanks again.

The Jekyll 400 came with a Terry Butterfly. I have to admit that I love it - no problems on long (for a MTB) rides. I have a Fizik Vitesse on my R1000, and same on an R1000 that I had to return (new one coming in any day now!) The first one was comfortable immediately - did about 150 over three days the day after I bought it, so no break-in was needed. On the one I returned, it was awful, but I think that the whole bike fit was off, since it's the exact same model as my other one.
yikes. long answer. The Terry Butterfly and Fizik work for me, but everyone is different!
