I'm headed to HHI between Christmas and New Year's, wondering if any locals or fellow tourists are interested in riding (assuming weather allows). Was just there for a week in November and got a couple of 25-30 milers in but all flat and solo = a little boring. Can't change the flat part of course (yes I rode the one hill -- bridge over Palmetto Bay -- been there done that!). Riding the Cross-Island expressway up and back isn't a bad roll, some big wind to push through at times.

Yell if you plan to be there and are interested.

Yup, and not exactly balmy after that ... but I'll take temps in the 50's any day.

The temperature isn't the issue. The rain is, as the ground is still saturated from the 12"+ of rain the past three weeks, and we are called the Lowcountry for a reason. Many areas are prone to flooding at high tide during a storm with these condition.
