My name is Nick, I'm a 14 year old from Philly, PA. Before now, I only rode my friend's bike once in a while, but I had to read the book "It's Not About the Bike" by Lance Armstrong and I really enjoyed it. Now I want to get started in cycling. I don't have a bike yet but I went to a cycle shop near my house today to look at road bikes. I don't know what kind of bike to get yet, but I plan on riding on paved roads a lot so I want to get a road bike. I found the perfect place to start riding on already. My dad lives in an apartment complex that's private, so there's not a lot of traffic. The roads are really smooth and there are a lot of gentle inclines. It's a very scenic route, right next to the delaware river, and it's a closed course. It's about a mile long and traffic is light because the speed limit is 15 MPH. I wanted to find a good place to get information on getting started, so I came here.
