On my LHT they came with Tektro R200A and with Tektro Oryx cantilever, #992. Silver for the brakes.I now have kool stops on them and they work good but I would like to install a set of Shimano BL-R400 Aero Brake Lever and a set of Shimano BR-R550 Canti front and rear on my bike. Will I need to change the cable on them or will this be a easy thing to change on my LHT.I will still run Kool Stops salmon they sure do stop you when you ask them too.First time I use these pad I almost went over the bars lol.I am change a few parts that I want my LHT to be set up the way I want it to look and with the parts I like if it can be done and still work good.I did get a new crank set a Shimano M442 with 44,32,22t and it has work out just great for me I would like to keep as much to Shimano as I can I just like there stuff a little better.I know its going to put my cost a little high for my bike but I don't care how much I spend on my touring bike its mine,So any info you people have on this will be nice to hear and thanks ahead of time.:thumb:

The big block of words is a bit hard to read, but the only question I could get in there was would you need to change the cable. No, you don't need to because of size difference or imcompatibilities, but you'd probably want to as recycling used and installed cables can sometimes be a hassle as it unwinds and catches and kinks while trying to route it in housing. I would suggest having extra cables on hand and then trying to reuse the old ones.

It is an easy thing to change. I think all you would need would be a 5 mm hex.
