Looking to replace outer ring, 5 ARM, 110 BCD, 48t, sg narrow chain, older Deore,
question is, are all alloy 5 arm 110 rings the same?
that is, will a chainring designated as a' road ring',
as long as it is 5 arm, 110, fit on my deore 5 arm 110 crank?

If your current ring is ramped/pinned, you'll want to find a similarly constructed ring as opposed to a flat chainring. Your shifting performance will suffer a fair amount if using a flat chainring.

Used is another option. Often times, it becomes more economical to replace the entire crankset rather than replace individual chainrings which can be very expensive.
