18 yrs since I've had a new bike. Was tempted to purchase a new one off the internet, but after finding this site, & being away from new bikes soo long, my wife & I actually made 2 trips, both 4 hrs one way to find a bike that I could ride before I bought it.
I took many things I've read on this site into consideration. She tried to rush me the first trip, & bout came away with a Tirreno Razza 1000; it did seem like a nice bike, but just wasn't me.
This past weekend made a road trip to Denver, used the "oh, we need school clothes for the kids" to get away with it. Spent a little more than I'd planned, but came away with a bright yellow Giant TCR; the one bike of the 5-6 I rode that just really made my day.
Being one of the newbies to the forums posting new bike questions, just had to say thanks to the forum regulars for taking time to answer.
