Foo - Motorcycle shops...........

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have the week off and am considering going to visit a motorcycle shop or two in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Anyone have any favorite sport-bike shops, or know of shops to avoid in Charlotte? My brand preference is Honda but I will look at anything. Actually, I would also like to visit a BMW shop if there any around.
And yes, I will probably pop into a bike shop or two along the way.

No BMW or Ducati fans here? It is still two wheels.
If no one has a favorite motorcycle shop in Charlotte, how about your favorite bicycle shop?

Modo,
Thanks. I may post this over in a regional thread in hopes someone over there is familiar with Charlotte shops......motorcycle and bicycle.

Hmmmmm. Define 'fan'.
Pcad rides a Honda ST1300.
This is a link to the local BMW dealer in Charlotte: http://www.bmw-ducati.com/
I have no experience with them; I get my dealer support from BMW of Atlanta or pure tech support from Zack Southard at the DucShop in Marietta, GA

Tandem,
Thanks a bunch. I am currently bike-less but have the week off and just like to look and that looks like a good shop and for good measure is only about 90 minutes away.
Merry Christmas.

BMW ATL does motorcycles as well? I thought they were purely cars.....might have to pay them a visit sometime.

You're thinking of Global Imports / BMW at the I75 / I285 interchange? Or perhaps United BMW, Nally BMW or BMW of South Atlanta... Hank Arrons place. Those are all car-only dealers.
BMW (motorcycles) of Atlanta... is a separate entity located at the end of the Dobbins AFB runway on US41 / Cobb Parkway. It's about 10 minutes away from Global Imports / BMW if you catch all the lights just right or know the back way.

Nicest folks you'll ever meet and the owners -- Bob & Lynda -- are almost always on the floor.
They recently added Ducati to their BMW/Husqvarna offerings so it's a worthwhile visit.
