I have a picture of an aircraft landing gear that I took a few months ago at the Topeka Combat Air Museum, and I cannot remember which plane it is attached to. I have looked all over on the internet, cannot find anything like it, and none of the Air Museum websites mention it. My dad and I both would like to know which plane it was.
Here are the details:
1) it was outside the museum, about 20 yards behind the three helicopter exhibits and the M60.
2) it was easily the largest aircraft in the yard.
3) i remember it having a very pointy nose with an antenna pointing out of the front of it. it had a red cloth cover over it.
Anyway, I THINK this picture is from that plane...
If someone could, please look around the next time you are there (the place is right next to the SCCA Headquarters) and try to find the plane this wheel goes with, and let me know?
50 internet points and loads of good karma to whoever can help a brother out.

ok. i have established that the landing gear in question is attached to the skycrane they have there, NOT the jet directly behind the skycrane.

anyone?
