Sometimes these deals do come along. If it is not too beat up, and even if you have to plow in a few $'s for a good tune up and some replacement parts, you still are probably ahead of the game.
I picked up a ConceptII rowing machine for my daughter for $100 last year. List - $800-$1000.00 It didn't even look like it was used one time. I felt like I was stealing it.
I'm sure that colleges work a lot like I saw at tech school in the air force, or on regular bases for that matter. Someone bought a nice bike 3 years ago. They graduated and sold it. The person that bought it rode it for a year, then sold it. Each time it gets further from the bike shop and further from the retail price. I bought a honkin nice "boom box" when I was in tech school for $10. I know I was at least the third owner, and it was a current model. Of course we graduated a little faster than PhD students....
That's how I got my first TV. You get sent to your first duty station and you off load crap like crazy. Of course the guys with the short schools never accumulated much of anything, unlike guys like me who's school was four months long
as a sirrus owner.. for $70 can't beat that with a bat. it's a nice comfy ride.
