Never used that one, but I do have a Third Eye helmet mirror (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=11679) that I've been using for a little while now for my commuting. I find it great to give me quick rearward vision to see cars coming up behind me, but I never rely on it for lane changes or making turns - I still need to turn my head to look to be sure.

I'm kicking myself now for not buying a sunglasses mounted mirror, or at least a mirror I could attach without a visor on the helmet. I've heard good things about this mirror from Bike Peddler (http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?productId=1842331&storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&langId=-1&vcat=REI_SSHP_CYCLING_TOC)

I use the Bike Peddler mirror and like it. You can clip it to your helmet using the supplied adapter or just clip it to a pair of glasses. I prefer it clipped to my glasses, but I wear prescription glasses, not cycling sunglasses, and have a good surface for the clip to grab.

Mine is very similar to that but the base is shaped differently. Mounted on the helmet just behind the visor so the visor isn't needed, although I can't imagine (personally) why I'd want to ride without the visor. I like it, it can be moved up and away, it's not too obtrusive, and allows me a pretty good view.

I use the Cycle Aware Reflex Flexible Helmet Mirror (bought it at REI). It works great. Set it up and forget it. It stays in place and the view of what's behind you shows enough to keep you out of trouble.

I have that very same mirror, and will not ride without it now.

I use the Third Eye glasses mount mirror, and love it - no problem with vibration. A small movement of the head allows you to scan all lanes behind you including lanes merging from the right. If your neck movement is very restricted, maybe you should consider having one on each side.

I have that mirror, and it's always on my helmet. I tend to disrupt it often when the helmet is off my head, but resetting it into position is easy.

I, too, will not ride without it, now.

I have that mirror. I don't ride anywhere without it. You won't be disappointed, trust me. I like the looks of it over most other mirrors.

I've had helmet and eyeglass mirrors, and now prefer a handlebar-mounted mirror. It's just more "natural" somehow.

BTW, you need to see a good chiropractor. I'm serious. A bad chiro can mess you up, but a good one will change your life.

A friend of mine had neck problems after being knocked of his bike two months before a major bike race he was preparing for, he used the Bike-Eye mirror that fixes to the frame, he found it invaluable in the race.

I have used that very mirror for 15 years, I have it on both helmets and keep one spare with the bike stuff. I may ride too much but I miss that mirror when don't have the helmet on.

The trick of any helmet/eyeglass mirror is to get it set up correct. You don't want it so close to your eye that is takes up a large percent of you vision on that side. Neither do you want to put it so far forward that it show you enough to know what ALL is behind you. Use some tape to put in on the helmet to check for position before you stick it on for good.

I had one like that... for a very short time. I didn't like it, as it was to springy on our various potholes and cracks. It finally fell off in a not-so-huge pothole.
I replaced it soon after with a cheap plastic mirror that happens to be more rigid and very stable.

As for its use: I have been cycling with a handlebar mirror since 1975 and converted to the helmet-mounted mirror in 2001, as I realised the Mirrycle I had was incompatible with aero brake levers (I learned afterwards I might have converted the lever, but anyway). It took me a few days to get used to it, but after that, I found the helmet mirror more convenient than a good handlebar mirror.

That's the one I use. Love it.

If you have problems with them coming off, or you wan't to reposition it, dubble sided sticky tape can be found at hardware stores.

I have used 3rd eye handle bar mount mirror for a while and seeing some limitations with it. Like when I'm in low profile aero position, I can't see the traffic behind me(if I adjust the mirror for upright position). After I read all the comments in this thread I start thinking helmet mirror maybe better for me because the position of my head is pretty much the same regardless of my body position. Am I wrong on this? I didn't like the geeky look of those mirrors but I may convert.
