OK. Ive posted here once asking if the bike found at: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/sst_al_carb.htm, is a good starter bike since this will be my first fixie/SS.

Although my friend said that I should build it from frame up, I said I wanted one ready to go since I didnt want to have a fully fledged track bike with absolutely no experience riding fixed gear.

Well, my only option is to buy from bikesdirect.

I need help as to what components are better, etc. Im looking at two bikes. One is the hour, which my friend has (its his temp bike- hes building one with a 3 lbs Leader frame =o).

Anyway, which bicycle would you say is the better deal?

Dawes SST AL, or the Windsor Hour?

Dawes: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/sst_al_carb.htm
Windsor: http://bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/thehour.htm

btw- there is another bike from Windsor called the TimeLine.

Anyone have any input as to which bike I should purchase? Ive been doing research supposedly but still need help.

BTW......I was also considering this one since both bikes above have sold out for the meantime. I have an idea of which is the better one IF none of the bikes were sold out.
