My son is an ambassador for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). He is paired up with USA
Drug stores. They had a contest during the annual JDRF walk fundraiser. The store that sold the most
paper sneakers would get served lunch by the CEO's. They asked my son to go with them last week and help
serve. They picked us up in the corporate plane and took us to the store for a BBQ lunch. They made
the presentation of the 105K check to JDRF. On the way back home they let my son sit copilot. He had
a blast.

I have raced for Team JDRF for several years doing a number of ultra-distance races and raising a bunch of money for the cause. If your son is interested, maybe we can arrange a meeting during RAAM in June. Maybe even a ride along for part of the race?

Thanks Homebya, I will get back with you closer to RAAM time.

He already wants to buy a plane so I am sure he will not forget it. I obtained my private pilot license right after High School. But work, marriage, kids... I haven't been current since he was born. Maybe I can get back into it.
