I'm looking for an easy upgrade to my bike. Not anything too expensive but a nice wheelset that could maybe do some light racing for me as well. If anyone has any ideas please share....

Mavic Ksyrium, either SSC or Elite.

Velocity makes some sickeningly light wheelsets that are quite inexpensive compared to Mavics, and the quality is good... way better warranty service than Mavic, too.

when i was looking for wheels I looked at the ksyrium elites and velomax tempest IIs...i ended up getting the elites because of availability in my area and i also liked the look of the elites better....so far they are treating me well and have not gone out of true...a great upgrade from sora hubs and cxp22 rims...if your bike shop will allow you ask to test ride some wheels.

If velocity makes some good wheels how about some opinions on these velocity wheels. They are the velocity Sparticus Tyro.
