Below is a letter to FC from a disgruntled employee of Papa John's Pizza. Damn I love reading about companies going down the crapper!
Papa John's Pizza
Letter to FC from disgruntled employee:
Papa John's marketing manager was canned. He was there just six months. He was responsible for their new boxes which crush pizzas, are hard to fold, don't stack well with or without pizzas. And several other idiotic improvements. The pepperoni is thinner than it was before 2004, the garlic and other sauces are 20% smaller than before 2004, etc. etc. Papa John's same stores sales vs one year ago are down 6% while Dominos and Pizza Hut same store sales are up 2-8%. I don't know how responsible he was for the new ****ED-UP computer system, which loses pizza orders and is otherwise incredibly stupid, like some screens saying "Press CONFIRM Key" when they use standard PC keyboards with no such key - while other screens say "Press F10 key" or whatever real key is necessary. The pizza order screen, the most used screen on the system, shows what several F keys do, but does NOT show what F key to go to the next screen. Go look, in any Papa John's. Remember lots of hs dropouts are working there all over the country. The computer system is losing orders and that contributes to the 6% drop.
But major management changes and some layoffs are in the works at PJ headquarters. Look for their same store sales to continue down for several more months at least.
