Not like we had a really hot summer this year or anything, but it's finally starting to cool off around here. I was actually wishing I brought a sweater instead of a fleece vest on the way home today... Down to about 55deg, high 61 and low 49 supposedly.

Soon, it will be winter. Soon.

Well, you picked the right place to live. I'm still kicking myself for being established here.

Yeah I don't know hereNT, shouldn't we enjoy the few warm days granted us each year?? Although it is nice to ride and not get too sweaty.

Yeah, probably. I still can deal with the winters here better than the summers though. At least my new apartment circulates air better having windows on two sides (haven't been using the air conditioner much yet) so this has been the most comfortable summer so far...

You don't bragging rights commuting by bike in the summer, either :)

I'm glad some one from the Twins started this thread. This is down right nasty cold. And I'm in the middle of moving to my new place. That means, my tights and warm clothing are on the other side of town, cause I figured this cold snap wasn't going to be the Big Chill. Geezzz. Glad I got sweaters and gloves. I haven't had time to get to the new place and get my tights.
Know what gets me? Alaska is warmer than we are, ALASKA!

This wonderful change in the weather had my arthritis acting up something fierce, biking is the one thing that seems to keep it at bay. My alleries are crazy right now too.
But, I also enjoyed the riding in it, I just forgot how to dress for it. I over dressed the other day, I was really toasty, and got more toasty as I rode, started strippin' down, only I didn't have panniers to put it in, my shorts looked like I was carrying a load (I was).
So now one of my preps is relearning what to wear and how. Ah the art of winter cycling.

I know, it's been horrible here. We Alaskans aren't built to tolerate temps above 75 degrees, god forbid in the 80's for extended periods. Soon, though, soon there will be snow

I live in Texas so summer begins around April and ends in Sept. When does summer start and end for yall up north? and how hot does it get?

Hmmm, up here (Fairbanks) I'd say summer starts around Late May and ends in August. Normally, up here our highs are normally in 65-75 range, with maybe week around 80. This summer has been much warmer, we were up in the 80's for quite a while (heck, it got up to 90 a couple times). It's been odd summer, though. Way too hot and dry, which has made for a bad fire season.
