Just to put the word out, the new greenway section along the new I-520 in North Augusta, SC is open.

It's about 4.75 miles long and pretty hilly.

It runs from Atomic road to Asguaga Lake Road. It can also be accessed from Belvedere/Clearwater Road, Bradleyville Road, and Old Aiken Road.

I'm from the Columbia area but am always intersted in a good ride. What's the Greenway?

Will they connect it to the existing Greenway? I routinely visit Augusta and love to ride either the North Augusta Greenway or the Augusta Canal.

The Greenway is a Rails to Trails path. Multi-use and paved. The long term plan, at one time, was a 25 mile loop throughout the area.

I connect the two now. At the Atomic Road end of the new section, cross onto Carolina Springs Spur, then left at Carolina Springs to Martintown Rd., cross to Beuna Vista Ave. to Riverside Drive Greenway entrance.

No, Augusta/North Augusta is inland and not along the coast.

OK, but did I see Beaufort listed as a city on the ECGW?

This led me to look extra down here in Fla. Found a nice section from Palatka to St Augustine, but following the MUP with hybrid view in mapmyride is taxing the 'puter.

You did. The problem with the ECGW is Savannah. There are only three crossings of the Savannah River, two are controlled access where bicycles are not allowed, and the third is a steel decked and narrow swing bridge going into an industrial area. I myself have ridden over the Talmedge Bridge any how.
