Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Blah is it spring yet>?

it has been rainy and sleet for the last 2 weeks. they just took the snow chances out of the forecast but its still cold and wet. im a wus i like to see 50 degrees when i get off work to go ride.

Here in Nola, we had the wettest December on record...along with some pretty chilly temps, at least by our standards. I've been playing it safe and doing what I can on the trainer until it clears some. Everyone around me seems to be fighting colds and flu and I don't want any part of it so I'm trying to stay warm and dry...:o

I don't know how you guys do it.

Here's what I'm looking at over the next few days in L.A. :D

(This almost makes up for the pain I feel when I check realtor.com and see what houses go for in your areas compared to the ridiculousness that is SoCal.)

No doubt, when you think about it, you pay DEARLY for that pretty weather!

It's been extremely wet here in North Alabama this fall and winter as well. I've wimped out repeatedly on my commute and rec riding(being an admitted rain weenie) and certainly feel the difference when I DO ride. The stationary bikes at the gym are usually full in the afternoons this time of year too. Come on Spring!

Sorry, I think the temperatures you are talking about would make me get our tandem out of storage and get riding. We awoke to -9 Fahrenheit this morning.

I'm looking at the weather closely over the next week. If it's above freezing on Maryland's Eastern Shore, I'm headed back to ride my age - 44 on the 8th.

The highest the temperature will hit in Toronto this week is -3ºC (and that's without the windchill). At least the days are slowly growing brighter and I'm denying the existence of snow (it helps).

Or I should move to SoCal.

YES, in Vegas we have 60's all week. Rough start to the new year.

Sub freezing weather all next weekend in Cambridge, MD. My trip is off. I can't even drive south to find bikeable weather. :-(
