Hey gang, I have a Specialized FSR XC Comp and I really don't need a rear shock, even "locking it out" with the little dial still allows about 1/2" of travel. I have slicks on this bike and just ride around town. Does anybody make a solid bar or link that can replace the shock and make my rear end rigid?
Thanks! :p

I think you may move the stresses around and break something. Call manf first or preferably sell the FS to someone who wants that and buy a hardtail. Happy New Year.

That's a terrible idea... you're going to damage the pivots that hold the shock with excessive force. If you really want a hardtail, just buy a cheap hardtail frame.
It's too bad your on the other coast. I would trade you my Stumpy HT.

i found two solid aluminum parts that would work:
simple solution (http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1062451_-1_64500_20000_64502)
if your feeling flashy (http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1062457_-1_64500_20000_64503)
sell the bike and get a hardtail, buy upgrades with money left over. don't make it more difficult than it really is.
