Anybody else think that the whole series was a ploy to pysch out opponents by showing them his training?

They showed Lance going back and forth to the US many times, including changing training regimen, hanging out with Sheryl Crow, racing in Tour de Georgia, reshooting Subaru commercial, attending Discovery press conference. They showed the clip on bars for Alpe D'Huez so that others would consider using them also but then he decided they were not worth the extra weight.

Just a theory.

Well, a few misdirects would seem to be a plausibly worthwhile "benefit" to Lance, besides the obvious $$ he got for doing it.

I'd probably plant a few misdirects myself, if I knew my competiton were watching my every move (likelt to emulate me in many cases) and I had a TV series following my training.

actually i thought about that as well.. especially how he kept on giving props to Jan and Hamilton.. and then the next day they ended up doing no so good. sometime i think that's his way of psyching them out mentally. but who knows..

Yeah, I can't imagine OLN did it without thinking there was money in it, and Lance's sponsors probably wanted it, and it promotes this whole "Lanceconomy" - all the money that flows around his name.
