Commuting - sturmey drum hubs unavailable?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This is the second time in the last month that I placed an order including a Sturmey Archer Drum hub and had that order canceled due to lack of availability.
What's going on? Where can I get an X-FD or X-FDD? Don't give me a link to some website that says it's in stock because it's probably just out of date.

I wonder if they cut back on production when the economy headed south and it's being felt now that inventory stock is being depleted?

Fair enough. Just googling X-FD I found a website (smart bike parts) that seems to have them, but I didn't order one to find out. I'd just go down the list in Google Shopping, and try them all. I've got lucky that way before.
Called yellowjersey.org and they said they have the X-FD. Very nice fellow who I would've bought from except he wants $120 plus shipping (for a product which normally retails for $50-$70).
So I ordered from SJS for around $55 (shipping is cheaper than I thought).
