Utility Cycling - Anyone use or have you seen the Axiom front platform support rack?

I'm thinking of building or buying a front rack. One affordable (suggested retail is $22 CAD) front rack that intrigues me is Axiom's front platform support, but I can only seem to find reference to it on their web page. Has anyone here seen one or does anyone use one? I like the upper extension since you can use it to attach a basket.

I like the look of that front rack, and with the additional extenstion for a basket it will increase it's usefulness for you.

It just so happens that during a utility trip out on my bike with packed low rider front panniers, rear rak mounted panniers and fully loaded trailer last week, as I cycled by the UEA campus, I found a broken off its supports "half size" rack platform sitting at the side of the road. I picked it and have spent a week or so wondering what to do with it. Initially I thought of mounting it over the wheel on my single wheel bike trailer and increasing the payload area. But now I think that I'll make up some mounting supports by bending up some steel hydraulic pipe and fit it over my bike's front wheel as an extension to the low rider pannier frames.:thumb:

Torker claims it will sell the racks for the Torker Cargo T to the general public this year, the front one will go for $50 , and the rear for a little less. This is a beefy rack.

I have one and I also use it with a basket. couple things you should know: 1, make sure your LBS can give you longer bolts to attach to your bike's brake arm(axiom should have supply longer bolts and washers). the ones from your bike will be too short. 2, add washers between the rack and brake arms. if you don't the brake will become too tight when you start to install the bolt. it took me some fiddling around because the rack don't come with any instructions.

Put something similar on my folder (plus a Dahon frontrack for panniers) to hold the basket. I like the basket to be low, not hanging from the handlebars like you often see.. This is a cheap rack from a local bikeshop, £5.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I ended up installing a Wald rear rack on the front. So far I'm happy with it. I did have to create steel brackets to attach to the P-clamps since they didn't reach the support arms of the rack. I bungied one of my wooden baskets to it yesterday and did my first test run, stopping to shop at several stores in the nearby town. I put several bags, including one holding a half gallon of milk, into the front basket; the rack handled the weight well. Next trip I'll use small panniers in addition to the basket.
