BMX - what do you think?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Where do you see the 04 venom? The 05 model looks pretty good, but I don't know how much it costs really.
The Mosh bikes seem pretty decent entry level bikes as well.

If I were you I would try to get that Venom for around 130 bucks max on eBay and see if you meet the reserve. It's not a bad entry level bike for that price. The one downside to the 04 model is the rear brakes mounted on the chain stays instead of the seat stays (low vs. high). So, you can't go with smaller gearing, but it still seems pretty decent.
The DK Cincinnatti is one of the nicer entry level bikes I have seen and DK isn't slammed for being a poseur company the way some others are, so you won't get hassled as much. You can see the DK at www.danscomp.com
