Foo - What a bonehead way to start the day.

I walked in to a meeting this morning wondering why everyone else was there so early and why they started without me. I thought I was really early and glad I made it in without any trouble due to the snow, and then realized I was 35 minutes late instead of 25 minutes early. Which was even more embarrassing since I've ran these meetings for a few years and sent out a couple of reminders with agendas last week....

I woke up at 5:45ish and drove to our church in the ice (not really icy but Dallas panics if a snow flake or ice crystal is within a 50 mile radius of a tv camera) only to find out that the Men's breakfasts do not start up again until Feb. 11th.

Meh, you got there unhurt and unfrostbitten, so all is good.

I was unfed, physically and spiritually. My stomach got it's feelings hurt.

Did you appease it with an apple fritter? I bet that would make my stomach at least a little less pouty.

I lived in Dallas for a few years, and it got cold enough to freeze then. Us Yankess we're feeling pretty full of ourselves until we got to work and realized we had to do everyone else's job too. We could tell who was a native Texan because they either stayed home, went to the liquor store, or ended up in somebodies front yard.

Yep, just an embarrassment for a few minutes. And revenge for having too much fun at somebody else who did the same thing a few months ago.

Is there a donut shop nearby? They can take care of both.

just blame it on the doughnut shop being backed up. You did bring doughnuts right?

No doughnuts, but we did have the coffee in case someone brought their own.
