My wife has agreed to join me on a supported tour in Vermont. She has a bike in San Francisco but I think it would be better to rent a bike there.

Does anyone know of a place to rent bike in or near Burlington, Vermont?

Any one live near there who has one to borrow?

The trip is in late September.

In Burlington there are a number of bike shops that rent:

and you should really stop by the Old Spokes Home (www.oldspokeshome.com (http://www.oldspokeshome.com)), I don't know if they rent, but they have great old bikes (and new) and really know everything about any bike. Perhaps you could work a deal to purchase a used bike and then resell it back to them at trip's end at a fixed price. That may work out cheaper then renting.
