Mountain Biking - What you really want is a 4 or 5" trail bike......

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

.....that comes in about 32 pounds and can take a beating.
Don't discuss.
Actually I do . . . I keep spending all my available funds on big gravity sleds, though.
I have one and it's great...4.5" of travel, 30lbs, and DH geometry...can't go wrong with that...well, except when climbing up, not going to win any races with the bike but just wait until the trail points down.

i'd rather have my rear nice and tight, nothing loose and moving back there please.
You don't know how good it can be until you have something moving in the rear!

Fenders are awesome, as long as you tighten the dust seal spring!!!!!!

Nearer to 34# vs. 32#, but I'll hold onto it a bit regardless.

When someone makes a simple single pivot with the same sizing and geometry, methinks it will sell well. IMO, a Santa Cruz heckler with a two-degree slacker head angle would freakin' kick ass.

I'm just saying it takes more skill to ride with only 3.5" than it does with 5.5" hehehe

I'm riding a 28 lb hardtail, and I don't get off the bike unless I :bike2: which doesn't happen often. :thumb:
I have a bike with 0" in the rear and one with 7.5" - depending on the trail, it takes a bunch more skill to ride the long travel the way it is designed to ride.

We all know that foodman is just trying to justify that 3.5" is enough.

With only 3.5 you need to use the tounge as as a counterbalance.
