Sunday I'll be 62. Can't believe it. Seems line only yesterday...

Anyway, I planned for riding a full century with friends from the bike club. A few replied, but some balked at the full 100. I decided to settle on a "ride my age" Metric. That held promise until the Canadian Express scheduled a stopover this weekend.

I told the group that this was going to be a "fair weather ride" and if it rained, I was out. That was before I saw the overnight temps are scheduled to be in the 30's. I don't ride below 50 at the outset, and it needs to be pushing 60 by the time we finish. It's not getting to to 50 Sunday.

So, I called off the ride until the Canadian Express pulls out and heads north and temps get back to the 60's or so.

I'm a wimp.

When I can easily ride a half metric again I will promptly berate you as you deserve. Until then get some base layers and take advantage of the cold snap. The delta temperatures seem much greater in the deep south than my area in Virginia. It'll warm up soon enough and you can reschedule. Happy Birthday.

No you are not, you just made a better choice, but if it would be me, anything 20-30º is rideable provided no ice and snow. Happy Birthday BTW.
