I guess. At least you ride a Kona.

I actually looked at the Dew before I got the Smoke. The LBS had just one in stock, and it was too small. But the guy had me take it for a spin anyway. Remember 3 things from that test ride:
1. Weather sucked. It was cold and windy.
2. It had toe straps. Never used before, or since.
3. I could not pedal through a turn. Period. If I had to change direction using the handlebar, the front tire would hit my feet, no matter what speed I was going.
To be honest, if I was in the market for another bike (like the Dew) I would probably go with the KHS (http://khsbicycles.com/06_urban_xpress_m_10.htm) Urban Xpress.

I have a 2006 Dew Deluxe (compares with the later Dew Plus). I like it...

If they'd had one in my size that wasn't the top of the line version, I might have bought one. And in a color I liked. The only one in my size was pretty expensive, and it was the color of Mountain Dew. Felt great when I sat on it, but didn't even test ride it.

09 Dew Deluxe, just got it right after Thanksgiving. Like it a lot, the hydraulic discs are awesome.

Since I put some strapless clips on, I do tend to hit the front tire occasionally, but only when going slow and cranking the handlebar a lot. Otherwise, I never turn the wheel enough when riding faster.
Have an '09. Stem upgraded to FSA, courtesy of LBS. Swapped out the stock risers for Ritchey Pro flat bars and bar ends and replaced the rat traps with Kona's Jack**** pedals. Also added a Topeak adjustable bottle cage.
Use it for casual--sometimes social--rides in L.A. traffic, usually carrying a still camera when exploring neighborhoods. Bike is quick and nimble and handles varying terrain well.
Last bike was a Bianchi Backstreet (ah, Celeste Green!), purchased in 1990.

I'm a fan. I ride in a big city and am on and off the pedals constantly. The Jacks' broad platform and molded pins have been great for hassle-free riding. Plus, they're both sturdy and inexpensive. Worlds better than the stock pedals that came with my Dew.

I saw a Smoke for the first time a couple days ago, and I was impressed. Paradise Garage in Columbus, Ohio had one for $319, I believe. I had never been in that store before. I'd think it was probably a 2009 model. I believe it was a 20 inch (the one I saw on the floor). Very nice looking bike for, I thought, a pretty good price. The last thing I need is another hybrid type bike, but I thought about it :)

I have a Dew FS that I commute about 85 miles a week. A really well made bike and easy on the body. I am contemplating converting to internal gear hub or buying a frame and upgrading. Kona now offers an internal gears version of the Dew also. My commute has alot of sand and grit and it is a pain to constantly clean the derailer and chain
