The classic - vintage forum has a eBay / CraigsList finds - "Are you looking for one of these!? thread and in that spirit, when I saw this ad I thought I would post it here... and when I didn't see you had one of those threads of your own I thought I'd start one... I live 18 miles from the northern end of the Natchez Trace parkway and I'd like to bike it some day, and with that in mind I keep an eye out for touring stuff in the area. In reference to the Bianchi, too bad I'm 6' and broke. :)

I have for sale a 1988 Univega Gran Touring bike. This is an excellent full fledged loaded touring bike from the great age of touring bikes and is comparable to other great touring bikes, such as Miyata and Trek.. The bike has been stripped down to nubs, completely overhauled, rebuilt, and literally ready to hit the highway. In addition to being an excellent tourer, the bike could also serve well as a commuter or "old school" cyclocross/canal bike.
Frame: Triple butted Tange chromoly. 54cm seat tube, 54cm top tube. Full touring brazeons for loaded touring -- front and rear racks and fenders.
Drive Train: Shimano Deore. 48-38-28 treking crank. 14-32 6-speed Shimano freewheel.
Vittoria tires. Puncture resistant tubes.

...any tips on searching for racks? other than searching for specific models, putting something like "bike rack" or "bike rear rack" in the search bar gives me 98% of results like thule racks for cars that i then have to sift through. is there a better term to use when searching on craigslist/ebay?..
