Touring - Ride Across Australia

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm organising a charity ride from Perth, Western Australia to Hobart, Tasmania for September / October next year.
We should have over 30 riders crossing Australia raising money for literacy development.
There's a bunch of guidlines that riders will have to follow to ensure everything goes off well but it'll be fun.
Get in touch if you're interested.
Give us some examples of the guidlines.
Very good cause, I hope you'll have a good outcome :)

As it's a fund raiser, we ask riders to raise a minimum of 4000 Australian dollars. (Which is considerably less in US dollars.)
Everyone rides in our official 'Bike for Bibles' riding shirts.
On road costs for accomodation, fuel for support vehicles, food etc comes to around 800 Australian dollars.
Everyone must bring a good sense of humour.
Last time we went across Australia we had about 30 riders including 3 Canadians and a guy from England.
