Road Cycling - Anyone Going to Interbike?

JUst found out I'm going to the Interbike trade show in Vegas in Oct. Anyone else going? This is an industry trade show and not open to the public....which is kinda too bad.

It may not be "officially" open to the public, but if you register online and pay your $200 I don't see why people can't go. I don't think they'll be checking for credentials at the gate...then again...

I'm going. I am supposed to be getting tickets from one vendor, but just in case they flake, I have a second vendor that's promised to get me in.

Seriously, I just really want to go to that party... I've heard there are going to be a few good ones going on. I'm also going with empty suitcass, and I expect to fill them for my return trip with lots of goodies. I'm also bringing my good camera.

Anyone that's been to Interbike before, what's it like? How do people dress? What is that party like? When does Interbike swing into full action? Do they give out freebies? Any tips you can give about getting around, meeting different folks, etc.?

Just wondering. I'm in the process of pricing out flights and trying to find a hotel that's affordable. Hopefully, I'll get one within a 5 minute walking trip!

LUCKY!!! Hey, if you have occasion to speak to the Shimano folks, see if you can pry any info out of them about a DA compact crankset - dying to find out. Have a great time!

The owner of my FBS invited me to go with him but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it due to business travel.
