Hybrid Bicycles - Mystery Hybrid

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone know how made this bike. No other decals but what's on the headtube.

Looks like MW, huh? I can't think of who that would be off-hand. If it is a Marin bicycle, I wonder if they have a Muirwoods headbadge? (Muirwoods is one of their models.)
My neighbor picked it up last weekend, and asked me to find any info on it. I've been searching everywhere and can't find anything that matched that headtube badge.

I thought my post would get people talkin', but apparently even the experts are stumped!

There's a group on Flickr that has ~2000 pics of head badges. You might find a match there

Otherwise, maybe someone in the Classic & Vintage forum might recognize it. Good luck!

I believe its a Montgomery Ward decal. As for a year or model, I dont know.
thanks for the link irclean, will go searching after work. It can't be to old with all the modern components on it.

are those 26" wheels? Murray? judging from the seatpost (if it is stock) and the 3 bolt/rivet? single chainwheel I am thinking it is lowend.
I think there 26's. I too think it's a Murray. My friend said he bought it for $50, and the previous owner doesn't remember where he bought it. Either way, it's a nice looking bike and rides nicely.
