Hybrid Bicycles - My new Trek 7.5 Fx.....with pictures

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just picked up my new ride yesterday, unfortunately it was raining all day so no chance to put her thru her paces yet. I had a head and tail light added along with a wried computer. I am living here in China and Hong Kong, and being an American, peddel power is my only choice of transportation.

Congrats on the purchase. I like the stealthy look of the black bike and how it's offset by those red tires. Very sharp!

Nice bike indeed, do you live in the NT or Kowloon/HK island? If so, you need to be very careful with those traffic.BTW,HK is my birth place.

Wow, that bike looks FAST, just sitting still!!, Looks like you've got a lot of "SMILES" coming your way soon, ENJOY! :)
I spend most of my time here in mainland China, in Hong Kong I am in Tuen Mun N.T. My bike is for here in China so I dont ride in Hong Kong. I just rode her for the 1st time this morning, according to my computer I did 17.4 miles with a 50/50 split between the flats and hills. My fastest speed was going down hill doing 29MPH...Wow that seems fast on a bike! I am probably going to regret doing so much for my 1st time, maybe I won't be able to walk in the morning.

But you'll have a smile on your face!
By the way - I hope you have a good helmet.
looks nice, when I got mine they only had silver/grey pretty drab looking. Like the red tires too.
BTW 29 mph isn't all that fast, down hill.
Being my 1st ride on a bike in 33 years, it sure felt fast!

And even better than an anorexic Playboy model vomiting up dinner - they are even better in person!

Yep nice bike. Love the black with the light touch of red.
I appreciate all the kind words everybody. I just came to conclusion:rolleyes: that I was in need of a rear rack for carrying some much needed belongings on my excursions. All I was able to find here in this town was this cheap rack without any sort of name. It seems to be of decent quality, but I can't decide if I like the thing on my bike. It might be because of how inexpensive(cheap) it was, and if I was to get a brand name one, maybe I would like the appearance more. Please let me know your opinions ok (Fugly....or it's alright) Thx everybody.

Nice rack - designed to help keep stuff out of the wheels. I'd be more than happy with it.

Ditto. Looks fine. It doesn't need a 'fugly' label sticking on it.
