General Cycling Discussion - Ack!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Now that my MTB is fixed and running well, and my road bike is ok..I am bored, I need a bike to work on. I've been looking around at ebay for something, but no luck yet. I'll have to clean my buddies bike for him.
Fubar, I know how you feel.
I just finished rebuilding my mother- in-law's Schwinn Breeze that she bought at a garage sale. It's really cool. It has a bell on the handelbar and a generator for a front headlight that's powered by friction on the front sidewall and best of all it has a green and white wicker basket hanging off the front. This is now a real neighborhood cruiser.

Go cyclocross. Get a decent frame and spend the summer building it up to be ready for the Fall cross season.
Fubar,
theres an old (and I mean 1960s old or older) Legnano frame and
parts up on e-bay. We're talking Campy Gran Sport, pre Nuvo Record stuff. I believe its less than 50 bucks...
that would be a good project....
Very cool racing history with Legnano.
Go Retro.:D
Marty
Yeah..A singlespeed cross bike sounds cool.

OK, Fubar5, as soon as you're ALLOWED BACK ON YOUR BIKE :D, just head on over here to KC and do a complete overhaul on my Iguana and my Nishiki. It will cure your boredom for five minutes, and maybe get me enthused about riding again. I could sure use that.
