Has anyone ridden these? I am a fairly light rider and am looking for a good reasonably tough tire for every day riding. I also do not want harsh ride. The roads around me run the gambit from great to crappy. All recommendations welcome… thanks

I almost got one yesterday does that count? They looked nice to me but I went with the Conti Gatorskin cause that's what I had before. I was lookin at the size 28 Bontrager, it looked loike it had a decent amount of tread...

so far they ahve been really good. I am a heavy rider (around 240 and dropping) I had my first flat at 1500 miles but it was on the inside of the tube. the rear wheel had glass and a rock and steel imbedded in it. I rotated them and have antoehr 1500 or mroe miels on them. got another flat but with the tire and tuffies I don't think anything poked the tube it was on a seam. there is usualy glass I have to go over every day and the tires are surviving well.

These are the first tires I have tried that claim to have anti-flat protection. I have been very happy with them, as I have had shards of glass imbedded in the tires and still no flats after about a year and a half of regular commuting. The flat protection does add a noticeable roughness to the ride, (I ride them at about 100 psi) but since flats are very inconvienent when going to work, the flat protection is worth a stiffer ride to me. The tires grip is very good on clean pavement, but is not superior on pavement with loose gravel, since the tire is smooth with no tread.

They're great, I have been using the 700*25's on my fg for two years now. The flat protection works very well (much more so than Select K's in my experience) and without too much of the weight and ride penalties of other flat resistant tires (marathons and armadillos, im looking at you). I also really like the fact that they have no tread at all; for a road bike tire this makes a lot of sense.

the grip on them sucks.

I've used these for the past 3 years and manage to get around 3000 miles from a set.

If you get caught in the rain while using Hardcases, don't turn, decelerate, accelerate, or make any type of movement except a straight line until you get home. You'll be eating gravel if you do! Regardless of the traction, I rode a pair for two years with only a few flats.
