Charity Events - Touring the Pacific Coast for cancer research

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello everyone. My name is Chris, and I'm currently a 15 year old sophomore in high school. This summer my friend and I will be touring the Pacific Coast on bicycles. Our mission is to help raise cancer awareness and to raise funds for cancer research.

Cancer is something that I have personally dealt with and it has greatly impacted me throughout my childhood. My dad was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer when I was five years old. He has been battling cancer for more than a decade now, and it has touched me deeply. Sometimes I just imagine how the world would be if there was no cancer. Well I hope that during my lifetime, this dream will turn into a reality and one day we will be able to find a cure for this disease.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) by the end of our bike tour along the Pacific Coast,. As of now, we have met 15% of our goal. From the bottom of my heart, I hope that you can help join us in the fight against cancer.

Every donation amount is always welcomed. Even a donation of $1 will help take us all one step closer to the cure. 100% of the funds raised are directed towards the NFCR.

Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
