i'm commuting on a 2009 motobecane fantom cross pro and am running schwalbe marathon plus (700x28) tires. i want to add some full fenders with mud flaps but haven't been able to find any threads (via search) that cover this combo. anyone have some suggestions on what would work well for me?

For a 28mm tire, I like a 45mm fender width. It's wide enough to get full coverage from side splashing if you hit some deeper puddles. A 35mm fender is a pretty tight fit for a 28mm tire and allows for too much splashout. (IMO)

I use SKS P-45 fenders and have pop riveted some long rubber flaps on them.

And I prefer a 35mm fender for a 28mm tire. I've never had an issue with side splashing.

What Clifton and I agree on is SKS P-series fenders. Make mine P-35.
