I have a clamp on front derailuer. I want a braze on. Is it possible? Do braze on derailuers come with a clamp or do I need to buy one separately?

The adapter clamp can be switched for one of a different diameter.

Braze on derailleurs are for frames with a brazed-on tab. If you don't have this mounting tab on the bottom of your seat tube, then you can't use a braze on derailleur without an adapter band, which you would need to get separately. Why do you want a braze on derailleur if you already have a clamp on type?

Thats what I thought, but your wrong. You don't need a special tab on the bike to use a braze on. Unless there is another name for the type on deraillueur I'm looking for. The kind I am looking for can be removed without taking the clamp off. It acctually comes apart from the clamp.
Why? So the derailleur can be removed and cleaned without losing the proper position.
