Bike looks well taken care of. He might have meant it's an 18" frame size, but that's a Rocket 88 of some sort I believe...you might look through here to see what it matches up to http://bikepedia.com/Search.aspx?Q=schwinn+88. I'm thinking 250 might be okay depending on particular component mix (hard to determine from the photo) and if the suspension has been well taken care of and needs nothing for a while.

I ran into a rider on a tough stretch of trail riding a Target Schwinn. He was doing fine. Its the Indian, not the arrow.

i hope its not a target bike. was going to spend around 800 bucks back in the day but i decided not to. kinda a shame the it gets dark right after i get off work. i live no more then 1 mile from one of the best trails in San Diego county.

But to get back on the point. im also planning on riding it around town as well, this is california . to many suv driving cell phone users so the ugly reflectors are going to stay

Ahh understandable.

And congrats on getting it! Do you have more pics of it? :)

What part of Cali do you live in?

Actually you can see the "88" in the pic you provided on the top tube...bikepedia is just a good place to go for stuff like that. Was wondering what kind of shock was underneath the condom...

under the mud guard there is a blue shock chome and blue shock. its says fox in blue letters. cant wait till it stops raining so i can take it out.. still pissing rain in San Diego.

Yeah those would be Fox colors, but doesn't say which model it is. Knowing the brand name is okay, but doesn't tell you much about where in the lineup the specific components fall...although Fox tends to be pretty good stuff compared to others that cater to the lower end of things. You might also consider ditching the condoms, they tend not to do you any favors, depending on your maintenance habits.

Condoms, on a bike? Is the danger STDs or reproduction? So thats the weird noises from the garage at night. And the DBs been gettin heavy.......

Man, this place makes a lot of sense.

WISDOM dude! I saw my brother get whacked by a VW Van in the 60s. I have been off road and way to the side ever since. When I moved to Vegas 10 years ago I soon learned that the worst bet in Vegas is riding these streets. Henderson, where i now live has a great trail system through town.

biking is so fun, and yes my bike wears a condom. dirty cheap hoes are around it all the time... ;).
so it stopped raining for a little bit and Jesus its pretty fun ! i mean im terrible at it and don't really know how to climb stuff but its fun happy to be part of a sport again.
i went riding for maybe 10 mins and i have noo leg strength anymore was exhausted . is that normal ? to be tired as hell after just a little but... but fun down hill

Yeah, that's not a target bike. Figure it is a 2001 and was about 1k. Fox rear shocks are good, that's a vanilla.
