Bought a CN7701 and it came in a plastic bag with a tag that is handwritten CN7701. The chain has a black pin inserted on 1 side of the plate. I questioned this as shimano chains all have connecting pins (with lead pin), he (LBS) says its factory inserted pin as it is OEM. Have I bought a fake?

My DA chains have 7700 on them., and ultegras don't. What's a lead pin anyway?
