Anybody knows if Park Tools TM-1 fits ERTO 406 wheel?

What about 406 wheels with DualDrive hub (bulkier IGH hub = shorter spokes).

no, not really.

don't worry, it's harder to screw up smaller wheels than big ones.

If you're following proper wheelbuidling procedure. You shouldn't be significantly off in tension of the wheel to make any difference.

in fact, if the spokes cross at all, you'll get very inaccurate readings. Better to pluck the spokes.

Precisely the opposite is true. Crossings make the tone different but don't affect tensiometer readings.

Try building a pattern that has crossings at different distances, like a 3leading-3trailing. With the spokes equally tight at the nipple, the sound is vastly different for different spokes.

On my TM-1 the distance from the outside edge of the 2 pegs(7mm dia) is 109mm, 102mm center to center. Max width of the metal plate it is mounted on is 121mm.

What is the length of the spokes? I am not clear if the peg can wrest on the nipple.

Crossing may interfere with the center peg of the TM-1.

You should be taking your measurements at the spoke closest to where they 'cross.' Not close to the rim. Just saying...
