Cyclocross - Anybody riding Gary Fisher?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm interested in the Presidio or Erwin. Mostly going to use it for road/single track use and maybe a few races. I really like that it's steel. I like the sliding dropouts. Looks like a solid bike.

I have a 2009 Presidio and I love it. I don't have anything bad to say about it at all! I went with a road setup with a spare wheel-set with cyclocross tires for mud-time. The bike is surprisingly light for steel and feels very nimble and quick on the road. The only other thing I changed were the brakes, and I went with shorty 6 vs the shorty 4. If you can find a 2009, that is the bike to have. It is the last year of the US made steel frame.

I had a 2009 Presidio and also and loved it. Missed MTBing too much and traded it in on a 09' GF Rig. Not sure whether I'm going back to a CX bike or a road bike. Got a couple months to decide.
