Anyone from San Francisco doing the early bird race on the 23rd???
I want to do the early bird race next Saturday, the 23rd. Only thing is I don't have a car, recently moved to SF for grad school.

I was wondering if anyone from SF or nearby is planning on doing the race and would either give me a ride (I can pay for your gas) or split a rental with me??

I've been doing them without a car.

The first one I rode to, it's only about 40 miles, although you have to leave at 5:00 am and it's cold/wet out, I felt like crap all through the crit, but if you are just looking for a learning experience.

Also if you don't mind missing the skills session you can take BART to fremont earliest from the city arrives just after 9 am and from there its a ~6 mile ride to the crit at 9:45

I think he's talking about the EB Road Race in Patterson... I thought about doing it but I think I'll stay local instead.

Yes, I was referring to the race in Patterson. I ended up getting a rental car, it was only $35

How was this event? I was going to go out to be a spectator. It had a heavy and cold rain in the early hours here in the valley as I didn't make it out there.

It rained on us a touch at the start, but cleared up and was quite nice later on. It was definitely worth the 3 hours of driving.

It was great. Rainy, muddy, and so much fun. As I was driving in the rain was really hard, but it cleared up as the day went on. Great start for the season
