I want to switch to glue, Vittoria Mastik'One, as recommended in Zinn's book. I have remove the old tufo tires and the tufo tape, but there is a residue of glue from the tape left on the carbon rims. Any hints on removing the residue. Do I need to get it all off. Rubbing with my fingers is a very slow process.

No need to get it all off. Solvents and/or scraping are probably worse for your carbon rims than just leaving it there.

I'd stick with the tape.

I am a fan of continental glue...that being said, perhaps a citrus based cleaner will work without damaging the carbon. You can always call/email the manufacturer to find out.
