Bicycle Mechanics - HA HA I screwed up!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So my 105 right shift has been giving me problems for the last couple of weeks and last night I decided to get around to fixing it. Boy did I ever. I just kept on dis-assembling the thing and the further I got the deeper I went. Friggin' springs flew everywhere and now I can't even get the damn thing back together. Pulled the guts right out of it. Hopeless I tell you. All I can do is laugh when I think about it. I'm usually more adept then this. Guess the planets were out of alignment or somthing. Oh well of to the LBS I go. Maybe its an excuse to upgrade? :D
I figure I'll keep the poor b*stard around and try to peice it together on those cold and dark winter evenings when I need to tinker.

Just how was I supposed to resist? :D
Hmm I just happen to have a decent set of 105 STI shifters. Slight marring on the edge of one of the levers. I don't know how it got there.
