as per subject, I know the chain widths have obviously changed, but has spring tension or cable pull rate changed on these?
I am running an older shimano 105 FD with campy levers and it requires about 4 clicks to get into the small ring (one sweep of the thumb button), but to shift up to the big ring, its closer to 6 clicks.......... which means almost 2 complete swings of the shift lever..
If the pull rate decreases with new FD's would it help? ideally I'd like only 4-5 clicks for either shift..
I know i can just get a new campy FD, but many say that the shimano stuff works better?
