I'm dry fitting a ultegra 10 spd cassette over a new Aksium wheel ( I'm building slowly a cx byotch bike, call it winter project) and have a couple of small issues:

1. Body hub is about 1.5 mm taller than cassette thickness.

2. Lockring won't thread, tried several to no luck (they do nicely on my other wheelsets).

When I bought the wheelset I assumed it was a shimano compatible but now I'm wondering if I got a campy? Do they even have the same body spline?

Is there an extra cassette spacer needed for (this model) 10 spd? If so, at base or top? TIA!

You need two spacers in there b/4 installing the cassette. The first to go in is a Mavic spacer, followed by the Shimano spacer that came with your Ultegra, then the cassette.
