I'm looking at a Raleigh Technium. It's either a MB or a hybrid, not sure but for my purposes (an all-road touring/commuting bike, farm roads, single track and grass around the farm) the difference is probably not important.
Does anyone have any opinions/info/input regarding the Technium frame (aluminum main tubes; head tube, joints and stays steel; thermally bonded). Was out of cycling when these were current so I'm not familiar with them or their reputation.
The bike is rigid front and rear (my preference), traditional-looking (ditto), and big enough (26" frame) to fit my mutant carcass. I favored Raleighs back in the '70s, and this bonded frame is technically interesting to me. I just need some assurance regarding its strength/integrity/durability.
