What is the opinion on a carbon fork upgrade?
Looking to lighten the bike and improve the ride.
Replacing the fork is a better option than replacing the whole bike.

A Carbon fork can definitely save some weight. The most popular carbon tandem fork has been the 375 gram, $450 (http://www.webcyclery.com/product.php?productid=17802) Alpha Q X2 (http://www.alphaqbike.com/performance_tubing/x2.asp). The problem is that the parent company True Temper, has filed for Chapter 11 (http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/article/steel-tubing-makers-true-temper-file-for-bankruptcy-protection-23568), so the future availability of these forks is uncertain.

I would grab this one quick. But make sure the rake will work on your bike:

You will need to use a standard road brake with it.

C/f fork will save weight, smooth out some of the less than perfect roads and . . . lighten the wallet a bit.
Yup, got one!
