I'm about to purchase a used DA 7700 standard double crankset and I'm wondering if its going to work with my existing triple 105 front d. or if I'm glutton for punishment. I've read several differing opinions.

Also, I'm using DA downtube shifters (can be used for double or triple set ups).

It's a friction front, you can shift it with stale bread.
